Which filter 1-8 on the Topping DX1 II corresponds to the SMSL PS200 PRO output filter?

I have two main hifi set ups, plus a desktop set up, but only one CD player (and quite a number of CDs...).
It happens however that I've just recovered a second CD player that used to belong to my dad... It's a Technichs SL-PG5, it looks in great shape, I know my dad has used it very little (he was more into cassettes...). This machine uses the MASH system, but the interesting part is it has an optical SPDIF output! (very rare 20-25 years ago).
It seems the SMSL PS200 PRO could just be the right partner for it (usb would be of no added value to me for such use).
I have not tested the mechanical parts yet, if is still fine, it's likely I'll go for a PS200 pro! :)

Now that I think of it, better match could actually be the SU 2... :) I'm on the wrong topic

Apart from the cheapest models, all old CD players used to have an optical output. The better ones also had a coaxial output. Technics only used an optical output for its CD players. The SL-PG5 belongs to the basic line of players. The best Technics were the top models SL-PS900 and 840 equipped with an eight-channel MASH DAC. Players with a four-channel DAC MN6474, such as the SL-PS700, were also excellent. The SMSL PS200 PRO will be a good upgrade for your CD player, it sounds great. I haven't heard the SU2, it will probably be as good as the PS200, they have the same DAC chip and the same operational amplifiers.

Tested the SL-PG5, it works, both mechanically and also produces output signal, so from that point of view I should now be able to consider it a valuable transport. The optical out will allow me to use many different dacs (and therefore forget the fact that the built in dac is probably a basic model), but the SU-2 (which lacks usb in, but offers xlr out and built in power supply, and very good performance) should offer all I need for a very reasonable price.
