SMSL M500 remote control not working

As in the title. The remote for the SMSL M500 DAC stopped working. It’s as if it froze. This is the second time it has happened. Replacing the battery doesn’t help. Unfortunately, I have no idea what I did the first time to make it work again. Can anyone help?

Maybe it is a BT remote? Try to turn the BT off, and back on, on the M500.
Maybe there is a setting (like in my DAC) to enable/disable the remote?

You need to press one of the a/b/c keys . Think it's c but repeat until it works

@Jimbob54 is right. Holding down the C key solved the problem. I thought I had already tried that, but I was probably pressing everything randomly. Thanks.
