D-6S has no new firmware.
DO100 Pro manual has not been updated.

This is from the updated manual of the DL200. It is correct apart from it being unclear if filter 7 is ESS #7 or ESS #8.

However, this is from the product page. Filter 1 and 6 have the right name but the wrong colour and placement.

This is incorrect. The placement of the labels on the product page figure is correct but filter 1 is labelled incorrectly. Filter 1 (dark blue) is a slow minimum phase filter hiding behind filter 7 (black), i.e. filter 1 is ESS #7 or #8 not #1 minimum phase. Filters 2-6 are correctly labeled though.

The RAW MDA-1 has a firmware update and the manual has been updated. It is incorrect in the same way as the DL200 and D-6S. Filter 1 is mislabeled but filters 2-6 are correct. Filter 1 (dark blue) is a slow minimum phase filter hiding behind filter 7 (black), i.e. filter 1 is ESS #7 or #8 not #1 minimum phase.

@nick_l44.1 has measured the DL200 with the new firmware v1.3 in the DL200 thread.

The filters are
FL1 - Minimum phase slow roll-off low dispersion (ESS #8)
FL2 - Linear phase apodizing fast roll-off (ESS #2)
FL3 - Linear phase fast roll-off (ESS #3)
FL4 - Linear phase fast roll-off low-ripple (ESS #4)
FL5 - Linear phase slow roll-off (ESS #5)
FL6 - Minimum phase fast roll-off (ESS #6)
FL7 - Minimum phase slow roll-off (ESS #7)

Thus, filter 1 and 7 are incorrectly labeled. All others are labeled correctly.

How can I update the firmware on a Mac?

You need a way to open the exe-file. MacOS cannot do it so you need some software or a virtual machine running windows.
Yes, just not sure what’s the best and easiest way to do that.

I used VMWare Fusion but when I open the file it's all weird characters and doesn't seem to work.

I borrowed a Windows PC to update. It showed the same signs but worked.

Did you follow the instructions of the pdf?
Yes, I unplugged the power, then plugged in usb cable, then start and plug in power, as per the instructions. I don't know if it worked, and I don't know what my current version is.

Did it do a factory reset? That is what it did for me.

Not sure at all what it did because of the non English characters.

Did it turn on when power was connected? Was volume set to 99, input USB, output the line out, gain low, the filter set to 2, DP set to 4, brightness set to 1, USB to 2.0?

No, just the little red light comes on. What COM port do I select? 12?

Interesting. It turned on when I connected the power cable after having pressed start. I turned it off before removing the power cable. Did you do the same?

Yes, but not getting that result. When I push start it gives me a message. It does seem to connect via USB without the power, but that's it.

I tried it with VMWare as well. Do you get this prompt after you press start? I don't recall getting it using the PC.

It seems it cannot recognize the DAC correctly. When I used it on the PC, it also automatically selected USB Serial CH340 (COM12) instead of COM12. It initially selected COM1 for me.

If I turn the DL200 on, Windows recognizes it as a DAC if I use the virtual machine settings to connect it to Windows but the updater still fails.

Anyways, after I turned it off and on again, it did not reset so it did not change anything.

Yes, I got that prompt. I guess I need a PC? Is there another virtual machine that will work?

I just used the PC again. No prompt and it shows USB Serial CH340 only after the USB cable is connected. It also used COM3 and COM4 instead of COM12 and it worked. Also, it shows a progress bar while updating so that should tell you if it works. Also the MHz and date lines at the end are the same apart from the symbols being wrong.

I tried it with the Parallels trial but the same thing happened.

Well, I guess I can't update firmware until I get a PC. If I have

DL200

DO100 Pro

What is the setting for minimum phase fast roll off for both of these?
Thanks.
