Whilst this could be a cable issue for you, I have the same issue with a Macbook Pro, i.e. USB-C to USB-C does not work with this DAC. If I use an Apple USB-C- to USB-A adapter, and then a USB-A to USB-C cable it works fine.
Interesting! Because I have a MacBook Air M1. I connect to my DO100 with a USB-C to C cable with no issues. Do you see ‘SMSL DO100’ listed in the Settings/Sound menu on your Mac when you use the USB C to C cable?

I bought a hi tech data cable usb c to usb c. Connected to the mini pc to no avail. No way, probably it s the pc in itself. Went back to usb c - usb a and it works back fine.

I just noticed you have a PC not a MacBook. My advice will not work on a PC with an AMD processor. Sorry.

For reference: works flawlessly on ARM/Android devices as far as I can tell. USB C to C is fine obviously, but so is C to A to C. Even this contraption with three adapters in a row plus cable:

Both on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and Exynos 9820 chipsets. I wonder why AMD PCs allegedly can't do it? Theoretically, I'd expect class compliant USB audio to be straightforward in terms of adapters and pinout.

I'm using Macbook Pro M1, USB-C to USB-C = Nope, DO100 does not show in Sound Menu or Audio MIDI set up, very strange. I guess that either Apple used a different USB chip in the Air vs the Pro, or SMSL changed something in either firmware or production (My DO100 was a very early unit). Either way I usually use mine via a USB hub anyway, so I'm not losing sleep over this.

Hmmmmm….I don’t have an explanation. I just looked at my M1 Air and the “SMSL USB Audio” is listed along with other Sound / Output options.

Anyone had their DO100 stop working on all inputs except USB? This just happened to mine after a house move (I'm guessing either pulling or inserting a live power cable has done this, but not sure). Tried the hard reset move but still nothing.... @SMSL-Mandy is there a fix for ths issue?
