EZ hooks melt pretty easily when attached to load resistors. Ask me how I know that... :)
Lol... I worked part time for a engineer when I first started in electronics decades ago. He had me go through every single one of his several hundred+ wires, cables, adapters, clips, BNC's etc etc. He had racks of test and adapter wires to manage. Anywayyy many of them where melted and warped from heat. So I had a good chuckle when you made that comment. :D

@orchardaudio

Personally, I am more intrested to see the measurements and diffrences between Hypex & Microaudio SMPS with your amplifier.

Thank you

There is no difference in performance from what I have already posted on the forum between the two power supplies. I was not expecting there to be any. This is not to say that the power supply itself is not electrically better it is just that it does not make a difference with my amp modules.

The big benefit to me of the micro-audio power supply is that it has a universal input (95 to 265VAC) so it does not need to be configured for different voltages around the world.

The Hypex power supply has 25mVrms noise in the audio band while the Micro-Audio supply has 250uVrms noise in the audio band. Below is FFT of both power supply outputs with a 3W load.

The @MicroAudio power supply will be a much better option for amplifers with poor PSRR.

The plot below shows the FFT of the 80V (+/-40V) output(s) of both power supplies.

With that very low noise level I think its a winner.

Did you get the same output power at same AC input voltage from both supplies?

Microaudio claims lower voltage drop with his supplies at full load, I don't know if that makes any differences.

Thanks for sharing

I was able to get the same output power of 1000WRMS (actually around 1050W if you factor in module efficiency) from both power supplies by having each drive two amplifier modules with 4-ohm loads.
