Smallest Amp with HDMI Input and Sub out

Why not mount the amp on the wall, i.e. with the baseplate parallel to the wall?

Esthetics...I'll post a pic of what I have currently. It looks clean. And even if I was willing to do that my wife would kill me.

Doesn't my Powernode hit the target? Surround decoding, eARC, amplifier, and 7.5 inch deep? Or is that extra 1 cm too much? It's supposed to get a Dirac upgrade too.
$880 refurbished.

Maybe with right-angle adapters for the HDMI and LFE out, it's short enough?
Yes this is probably the best recommendation of all so far...just expensive

This is what I'm working with. I have wireless transmitter for the speedwoofer. Passives will go where the candles are now on each side of the TV. I just need to find the right unit to piece it all together

Is there enough depth behind the TV to mount something like one of the WiiM Amps to the back of the TV, oriented vertically. We see this type of install frequently in commercial office AV applications. I think they are roughly 2 and a half inches tall. So the backside of the TV would probably need to be ~3" or more inches from the wall. Bonus is the cords are easier to hide.

Maybe up top. I will need to measure. TV is mounted pretty high so its on a vertical tilt mount. The bottom is basically flush with the wall. I'm not sure how much space is up top. there is already and outlet cover behind the sound bar with the power cord and HDMI fished through and everything hidden and tucked away neatly behind the TV.

I've done it with the Roku and Apple TV pucks in the past, but they are definitely lower profile than the WiiMs. Anyway, FWIW, WiiM dimensions below from their website:

Would I need an ir relay or you think it will pick up the signal through/around the TV?
Wiim remote is bluetooth.

Also:

Use the subwoofer output to connect an optional dedicated subwoofer to enhance your movies, TV shows, and games with booming bass. When you connect a subwoofer, the Ren speakers will automatically filter all frequencies below 80 Hz from its woofer, letting the dedicated subwoofer do the work, while the Ren's woofer handles the midrange with minimal distortion.

I don't know anything about Kanto. I'll have to read some review.

I truly appreciate all the suggestions thus far. This is a great community.

Its my understanding that it is the same thing as the SMLS AO300 with a different color chassis and a different screen. I'm open to this as well as the AO300. Just wanted true bass mgt.

Some alternatives mentioned in comments on A40 and A30 review
