Lately, this forum has been running very slowly. It works fine in the morning (UTC+3) here, but later in the day, it's almost unusable.
What's going on? Every other forum and website works fine, so I don't think the problem is with my system.

I have seen some slow responsiveness at times. Notably seemed worse when Amir was in China. I did notify @amirm and has been much better since. Seems like there may be a regional consideration involved if is still slow.

Me too. UK.

Not sure why it should be so, but I find clearing browser cache seems to yield an immediated speed improvement.

Here (in Poland) it seems that VPN matters. I'm testing now without VPN, and so far all good.

Not too bad currently. (UK) Previous few days, very slow. (No VPN.)

I used ChatGPT to do some analysis. This was the result:
The issue appears to be either with the Cloudflare CPH-to-origin connection or with the origin server itself. Requests routed through the CPH Cloudflare PoP intermittently experience extremely high TTFB, sometimes exceeding 60 seconds, while requests routed through RIX are typically around 250 ms.

Seems to be a European thing somehow?
This is due to specific nodes within the EU that are used, among other things, to block certain websites (in compliance with legal or government mandates). Apparently, these nodes lack sufficient capacity, leading to recurring delays. The ASR forum seems to be particularly affected by this.
In my case, it is always the Cloudflare node in Düsseldorf.
Perhaps @amirm can adjust something in the settings.

Not sure if it helps as a possible clue...
I think when it is laggy the post time indicators may also be wrong.
I.e. A post apparently from just one minute ago may claim to be from 20 minutes previously.

There’s been an increasing amount of bot attacks on the uk cloudfare services lately so perhaps it’s that.
