HI Folks,

Due to space constraints I'm looking to replace my 2x REL T5s with something else. I found some interesting Slim subs, Like Buchardt sub, which can be placed horizontally.
I also saw Monoprice subs, which look very interesting considering the price, however they do not ship to Europe (UK). Do you guys know if there is any alternative in Europe? Buchardt is very cool, but it is very expensive, I can probably get one, but 2 would be too much for me.

I dont know if SVS is available in Europe but they have one you should look at the PC2000 pro

Not a traditional solution, but I have used these 101mm deep subs against a wall behind a couch and behind curtains... they are shockingly good.

There is the Sigberg Audio Inkognito.

But really the ultimate space saving solution, if you are willing to consider it, is to demolish part of your drywall and install subs within the wall. It's not as extreme as it sounds, I remodelled my previous home by removing some walls for a fairly modest cost. Considering the price of that Sigberg Inkognito (3700 Euro) and the fact that it still consumes space within your room, you should be able to afford a JBL in-wall subwoofer for about 1500 Euro and still have enough left over for the modifications.

Thanks, Interesting for sure, how much do they cost? Shame they are passive.
I have no idea what they cost in the UK, you'd need to contact a dealer. They are not inexpensive. I used 6 in my last home theater with three dedicated sub amps. In my space they were completely hidden and provided an impressive solid bottom end.

Nubert nuSub XW800
Lyngdorf BW-3, BW-2
Thanks Nubert is interesting looks like it even has a room correction built in, however they only have 8in version.
Lyngdorf is the same cost as buchardt, but without room correction, PEQ and WISA support.

Alternatively, I'm not sure if you are interested in a DIY project... this driver in a compact sealed box is substantially superior to the subs posted above.

You can find out yourself by filtering @sweetchaos' massive spreadsheet according to your needs:

Lots of CI companies use them in slim subs, too: in the US I know of Triad, Leon, Wisdom Audio. Not sure in EU but I bet several companies do

Interesting, thanks, I will consider, I don't really have equipment to make nice boxes unfortunately
