Got some REW measurements from a customer. Pretty flat down to around 16hz with two Inkognitos. A bit of manual EQ here to even out the response (no lift).

It's actually very rigid, even at 100dB@1m it's not enough vibration to worry about beverages.

Create a genuinely high-performance subwoofer that integrates naturally into real living spaces instead of dominating them visually.

Interesting to see major brands now exploring low-profile / wall-near / on-wall / furniture-friendly subwoofer concepts.

Indeed, but it is virtually guaranteed the rel will be hugely overpriced and under performing. .

To me there are two interesting things. The first is that they are launching a similar product, as this validates the category / potential market. And second that they're calling it a new category, when they actually even had a similar product themselves in the past (called the Rel Habitat). But it's a marketing effort to build attention I guess, which is fine by me.

Nubert has that kind of subwoofer alread for many years (XW800). But the rel looks gorgeous, like a piece of art.

Your subs sound superb. Their bass is deep and taut, quick to stop when needed. No bloating or 'fatness' observed.

I may have missed the Clarity 66 comparison he mentioned. I heard a few songs for about 10 minutes, then skipped over to the end when he returned to comment on the listening session.

I'm sure these (C 66's) are excellent speakers, but I'm not sure why they were just awarded the "Exceptional Product Award" rather than the Siranna or Manta models they reviewed, which received far more praise in every respect.

BTW, would you point me to the distortion performance specs for the Siranna and Manta models at 95dB or higher? Clarity 66 is claimed to have a THD of < 1% at 97 dB in the bass (30Hz was their spec, I believe) and 0.01% THD in the midrange, according to Peter Lyndorf's video. Thanks!

If you see the SPL tests in the videos you see that the Clarity 66 calls it quits way before the Manta or Saranna.

In their test the Clarity 66 managed around 101-102dB with room correction, Saranna did 108-109. The Manta has even more capacity of course.

But the Clarity 66 is certainly impressive given the 2x6.5" drivers.

It doesn't seem to be 0.01% THD @96dB according to their own whitepaper, but it's certainly very low and impressive.

The Manta and Saranna are around 0.2-0.5% in the midrange@96dB, which is also very good, and I think we are approaching academic levels here, but again, certainly impressive numbers from those Lyngdorf drivers!

Wow...Superb bass specs, for sure! I assume the Incognito subs perform even better.
