Sigberg Audio Active Speakers and Subwoofers (main thread)

New EU dealer in Munich, Germany: Hörzone!

https://www.hoerzone.de - They're a well established dealer and have been focused on active speakers from the start, so a good fit!

Saranna will be in place in their showroom before Christmas, and then the plan is to follow up with additional products next year. :)

Oh crazy, that's were I listened to several loudspeakers already. Welcome to munich :D If it weren't for the price :/

Thorbjørn - are there some metal tracks (on Qobuz if possible) you'd highly recommend for sonics - specifically strong, punchy bass/midbass? In other words, the opposite of And Justice For All? :)

Sure! A few specific tracks with pretty good and punchy drums (links to Spotify but should be present on Qobuz too):

Shared this unboxing video from instagram earlier, but here it is again with higher quality on Youtube. :) Unboxing/setup of their two new systems at Sweetspot studios in Sweden.

Sigberg Audio MANTA with two 10Ds in their largest recording studio and Sigberg Audio SBS.1 with one Inkognito in one of their mixing/mastering studios.

All the engineering, measurements, and design philosophy are only part of the story. The rest is written by the people who live with our speakers every day.

So I've decided to create a section on our website where we get up close and personal with a selection of Sigberg Audio owners. This way you get access to the experience of real people in real rooms! We're starting with two crazy Norwegians who have not only one, but TWO Sigberg Audio systems each. I'll be adding two additional stories (likely from one customer in Italy and one in Germany) early next year.

Check out the two first stories below! :)

Ragnar (Manta + 2x10D and SBS + 2x Inkognito subwoofers):

Håkon (Saranna and SBS + 2x Inkognito subwoofers):

New article on our website! had some questions on this lately, so decided to write a quick one about the benefits of dual subwoofers.

The obvious benefit is more headroom and the ability to play louder. But there are several other benefits (already known to many on this forum of course). :)

New article in our recent Listening Rooms series, where we interview owners of Sigberg Audio gear. This time we visit Manuel from Milan, Italy who has a dedicated room with Manta + dual Inkognitos. :)

I woke up to threats from the USA of imposing additional tariffs on a number of countries including Norway, first an additional 10% and furthermore an additional 25% on June 1st unless USA has been allowed to take over Greenland (which anyone in the Europe finds so ridiculous we have to double check we're actually awake).

Pending these developments I will pause further efforts towards the USA, as I imagine many other European companies will as well. For clarity, at this time it is still possible to purchase from the USA (primarily through our dealer DreamScapes A/V), but no additional marketing / expansion efforts beyond what is already in motion will be pursued at this time.

Note: Please do not reply to this post with political commentary, as I imagine we will quickly end up on the wrong side of the forum rules.

New, interesting review of the Sarannas from a new, Swedish youtuber which has also reviewed the Kii Three and 8C, and will review the Grimm next in his "Are active speakers the future series. :)

Not long ago, you'd be considered crazy for suggesting that a turntable manufacturer, a company whose entire focus is analog playback, used active DSP-controlled loudspeakers as their reference systems.

It may still be a little crazy, but regardless, that moment has arrived! :D

I'm pleased and happy to announce a new collaboration with Dr. Feickert Analogue (DFA), focused around the Sigberg Audio Saranna. The Saranna system will be used both in Chris Feickert’s personal listening room and in DFA’s exhibition systems at future hi-fi shows, starting with Analog Forum in Moers, Germany on March 21-22nd, 2026.

I am going to Moers, nice. Very curious how I like the saranna.

You'll be able to hear them in two different rooms and also see both finishes, Dr. Feickert is playing on a Shady white pair, and Hörzone is showing a pair in Fade to black.

Will be interesting to hear your impressions! :)
