Sigberg Audio Active Speakers and Subwoofers (main thread)

I'm starting off with an announcement on sales to the US, where I have both good news and bad news.

:D The good news
is that we have secured a US dealer (https://dreamscapesav.com/) - which will do both sales and have showrooms, which means you will soon be able to audition Sigberg Audio in the USA. First in the New York area, and hopefully soon in Florida and Los Angeles. Perhaps even more importantly, they will cover service / repairs, both inside and outside of warranty. So if there are any issues at all, US customers can now get that fixed domestically / within the US. Note that we will still continue to sell direct to US customers as well, as that is still our main distribution model.

 The bad news is of course the tariff situation. We have yet to determine exactly how to handle that, so we ask all US customers to contact us before purchasing. The second problem beyond the possible effect on price, is that the consequence of tariffs and the removal of the De Minimis rule means the shipping providers are overloaded with customs handling - and deliveries to the US are running way late. I just got a notice from DHL saying that they are suspending shipments to private U.S. customers of goods above 800USD. DHL has so far been our main shipping provider, and they've now announced that they simply will not accept our deliveries. We have FedEx as a secondary option, but I suspect they're also struggling. This means deliveries to the US may also experience significant delays right now.

NOTE: As you know, there are forum rules preventing us from discussing the politics in this, so please do not go there - this is just to inform of the consequences for US customers.

US customers can now again order directly without contacting us first (you are still welcome to do so of course). This as we've now been able to adjust our website so that the pricing for US customers automatically account for the tariffs, so that these are also included in the price you see at the site.

Notice:

Delivery delays are expected in July and August. In July due to a three week vacation with no production, and in August we've already booked all production capacity to handle Saranna pre-orders, so orders placed in July & August probably won't be delivered until September or even October depending on how late you order.

So if you're thinking about an SBS.1 or Manta system or perhaps subwoofers, ordering in June might be a good idea to get a reasonable delivery time. :)

Over the years I have been very open around the development process of our speakers and subwoofers, creating and sharing in long development threads on selected forums. The time has come to share a bit from the marketing and branding side as well.

Bringing new and different to an inherently conservative market is always difficult. There is a need to explain what is different and why different is better. But an internet audience in 2025 has the attention span of a four year old on meth, so it's a difficult task. And what to focus on? What to convey?

AI enhanced text, with focus on more fun and shorter:

Let's face it, the world of high-end audio can be a bit… stuffy. For years, I've spilled the beans on the nuts and bolts of our speakers and subs in online forums. Now, it's time to pull back the curtain on the marketing magic – and trust me, it's a wild ride.

The Great Explain-a-thon
Breaking into a market that prefers its tech older than dirt is tough. How do you explain why "different" is actually "better" to an internet audience with the attention span of a squirrel on espresso?

We've got some big ideas to get across:

- Active speakers reign supreme: Built-in amplification means more bang for your buck.
- Monitors + subs = audio nirvana: Forget what everyone else is doing, this setup is pure genius.
- Cardioid wizardry: It's not just a fancy word, it's a game-changer for sound.
- Value that blows minds: Our component choices mean our systems punch way above their price tag.

Beyond the Buzzwords

Every brand screams "we're the best!" So, how do you cut through the noise? We could tell a story, focus on the jaw-dropping results instead of the techy how-to. But even that's a challenge.

We're not here for the faint of heart, or those stuck in the audio past. While others cling to fifty-year-old designs, we're chasing the cutting edge. The best speakers of 2025? They'd make a 90s audiophile weep. We're for the early adopters, the ones hungry for innovation.

Our mission? To create the ultimate music system for your living room or dedicated listening den. Think neutral, accurate sound that's so good, studios are grabbing them too.

Unleash the Beast: Rock & Metal Approved!
Here's a secret: truly great speakers make all music sound good. And personally? I live for rock and metal. Yet, finding high-end gear that truly shreds with these genres is like searching for a unicorn.

While some might scoff, we've deliberately let our love for dynamic capability and raw power shine through. Our website, our visuals, our words – they all hint at the beast within. Sure, our systems excel at delicate vocals and pristine soundstages, but let's be real: "We are for everyone" is a snooze-fest message.

And honestly, how many "high-end" systems can blast Rage Against The Machine at 100+ dB without sounding like a broken kazoo? Surprisingly few. Ours? With ease. All day long.

Stay tuned for more tales from the trenches of marketing. And seriously, tell me what you think of Sigberg Audio!

Not sure what to do with this. :)

Second post in the "series" on marketing and branding, this time exploring the Sigberg Audio customer and who we are building for. :)

Added a new playlist, this one focusing on rock and metal with decent sound:

I've been writing a number of articles on our site the last few weeks, here's the latest one:

Long, detailed and interesting post about modern active speakers by Bruno Putzeys:

"Here’s the clever bit: no 6dB low-frequency boost is added. Anechoic measurements show the bass response is 6dB lower than flat."
Do we have examples of that?

I can't recall seeing such notched bass response on cardioid speakers.

I pondered that statement a bit too, not sure exactly what he means. The Kii Three is flat anechoically to around 50hz based on Erin's measurements.

An extensive review of the Sarannas and a slightly less extensive review of the Mantas will be featured on a pretty cool youtube channel later this year. It will also feature a relatively extensive interview with me, which I assume can be interesting for those who'd like to learn more about both me and the philosophy behind the products. :)

This is a bit studio oriented, but for those interested; I recently sat down with music producer Ulf Blomberg og Hoborec Studios (south of Sweden). We discussed Sigberg Audio speakers, studio speaker tonality, mono/stereo bass, subwoofers and more! :)

Thinking about pulling the trigger on a Sigberg Audio system? Now’s the time!

We’re rolling out changes in the way we're packaging our products and with that a refreshed website on Monday, September 22nd. We're syncing this with a round of price adjustments. Nothing too dramatic, but expect 3–7% increases depending on the product. The one exception: Saranna, her price stays put.

On a more positive note:
  • Currently 15% off any SBS.1 system in white, black is sold out until further notice. A new revision of the SBS is in the works, scheduled for early 2026 (more about that later), which means stock is running low.
  • 30% off Inkognito 10" subs, last few units available. These are discontinued and will not be restocked.

You can find both here: https://www.sigbergaudio.com/collections/legacy-products

And if you’ve been considering Manta, Inkognito, or 10D and want to get them before the new prices kick in, you'll find them all here: https://www.sigbergaudio.com/

Note: we’re experiencing a bit of an order queue. Please allow at least 6 weeks for delivery.

Feel free to contact me directly in thread or in DM if you have any questions. :)

Crossposting a bit from the Saranna thread, Stjernholm reviews review of Saranna out now. While subjective, it's pretty thorough with several different listeners sharing their experience - and you can hear what they listen to and their reaction as well. :)

Cross-posting from the Manta thread. Stjernholm review of the Manta is out now! It's a bit shorter than the Saranna video since it was originally the Saranna he was supposed to review, but then I badgered him into taking a Manta system as well for comparison. :)

I don't think he regrets saying yes to that. :p

I seldom watch Youtube but I have enjoyed the Stjernholm pieces, and the concept of an independent listening panel isn’t the worst idea.
