You might've had your "axe" but not so Wes Montgomery …

Some lovely & interesting instruments on this thread.

Here is my Martin SC-13e. The wide fretboard suits my fat fingers perfectly. A very "non-traditional" design for a Martin.

I also have a couple of electrics, and built my grandson a partscaster.

Beater Malibu. Ray Davies, Joan Baez, Johnny Cash played them from time to time.

My guitar had arrived several days ago. Soundwise, my first impression is good but I found the top finish is not perfect. There are marks here and there.
As a luthier custom made guitar, its price is relatively low. Perhaps this explains the imperfections?
Anyhow, today I decided to rub out the top shellac finish and get it ready for DIY shellac re-finishing.
After my refinishing I will then try different types of strings to see if I can make it sing in a more lovely way. ;)

That's a very nice looking top plate. The front view of the guitar is all very tasteful.

Wanted an inexpensive single coil guitar to have around- got this Jet JS-300 for around $250 delivered. Roasted maple neck (and it's awesome), bone nut, decent pickups for my purposes- really happy with the purchase!

I love that brand!
The SB-2 has been sold, I still have the fretless SB-1, a L-2000 and my trusty japanese Precision...

I should make better photos to give them justice someday

Not a new guitar but a new piece of gear arrived today.

Found David Gilmour's settings for his Ram's Head way back when and used that as a starting point. Now if I could only play one tenth as well as Gilmour....
