Show us your CD rig

I assume you mean CD player? Here's mine or more accurate a clone of mine.

Physical CD's are in a box in the attic.

It is called "Show and Tell".
Not I would like to see your Junk...

Taken from a larger picture of the whole system, excuse the image quality. It's a Sony BDP BX57. They came out a little over ten years ago, can play back Blu Ray, SACD, DVDs, CDs. The analog output is stereo only. Fortunately, it has coax and optical out. To get surround requires using the HDMI out. Got it for $8, the remote (a clone) set me back $10. I use a Topping E30, hooked up via the optical out, to connect to the Topping L30 headphone amp/preamp. That's hooked up to the Yamaha RX-V461 AVR. Am listening to Haydn London symphonies now, Colin Davis directing the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra of Amsterdam.

Last CD player I had. Neat belt driven unit. Was used for like 15 years only replaced the belt once. Replaced by DVD player which was replaced by BluRay player. This pic is from an ad for one, but mine was like this. Had RCA and balanced out along with SPDIF and AES/EBU digital outs. Mostly used feeding various DACs like a Wadia. The round pucks on top are weights. You slid open the smoked glass door on top, dropped the disc on and put the weight on the cd before spinning the disc up.

I'm missing two in my collection that I would like to have: Musical Fidelity CDT the one with the two tubes sticking out on the top and I would like to buy back my beloved Marantz CD80, which I sold because I don't use them anymore...

This is the one-and-only CD player that I've owned. A Magnavox CDB650, ca. 1987 (generic pic).:

A few years back it started to act up—randomly wouldn't power on when the power switch was depressed. So I recapped and rewired it. I had to replace some of the Stocko connectors because the PVC insulated wire had caused the insulation displacing teeth in the connectors to corrode—lots of blue-green goo. The only part that I could not find a replacement for was the Alps pot for the headphone volume control. No loss since I'm not a 'headphone guy'. It now works just like new.

This heavy Sony is still around, though rarely used. Bought it super cheap and new from a pallet at a local electronics store that was getting rid of CD players. Almost no SACDs, so its day job is Redbooks.
