My first car was Skoda Octavia! It was around 1966 and the car was just the body without engine and wheels. I begged my father for a car like my neighbour boy's Mini wreck. It was fun to play with!

It looks way better than today's Skoda Otavia !

@Dumdum, interested in some more details about the 'how & why' of those subs. Are they free air and using the vehicle as the (non) enclosure. Does the shelf above cause any issues? Probably necessary for security. Does the front of the drivers have space below and in front for bass to be directed 'into' the car. Sorry for the maybe naïve questions, just trying to wrap my head around that setup. Thanks!

They are vented through a 350mm square hole reinforced with box section... the ‘enclosure’ beneath is technically a manifold to route the front wave off the subs out of the car through the spare wheel well aperture

the shelf doesn’t do a lot aside from rattle with 20-40hz so it’s going to be replaced with a space frame with grill cloth that will be bolted down and made to have a removable ‘v’ shaped centre section for at shows

the car itself is a small euro hatchback and also has sb acoustics satori WO24p-4 under each front seat for midbass dutys, and 12cm ceramics in the dash for mid range, followed by bliesma 25mm tweeters

the dsp ultra is fed by an iPad mini 5 256gb into a topping d10s via coax, and there is also a hybrid audio U1A behind the back seat and a 500F super cap bank hiding down there for good measure also

RWD 9200rpm rev limit.
4 inch billet wheel ceramic bearing turbo.
670hp on full boost.
Used in the summer as a daily commuter to a secondary school as a teacher...
Mid life crises are underrated IMO.

It can leave pretty much anything I've ran into, but only in good weather.

To many near death experiences to count. Winter in the UK is ... interesting.

Has stepped out on me at well over 110mph on a gear change.

I have swapped passenger experiences with many other cars with more power now, but everyone has looked at me like I'm insane after getting out of it with the exception of a couple of superbike owners (so far).

I need to sell it, just cant ever find the will to actually do it when it comes to it as I honestly feel S2ks are the perfect car.

Sound is like this but just louder (no baffle 4 inch exhaust)

Loved my S2000 when I had it, an absolute 'Boxter killer' !

nice 2002 - I had a '71 and loved it
I rebuilt it in the 80's
Complete engine tear down
Ansa exhaust, Stahl header, Bosch mechanical advance distributor, the pic has the winter carb, Weber with electric choke ( a must in AK lol), summer twin Solex.
Eibach springs, Boge shocks
Scheel seats with matching fabric over the rest
Full Blaupunkt, amp, 4 x speakers, EQ
320i rear discs
Great car

Fav car ever but had to sell it due to worsening of spms, 1984 mk2 golf with fully built/ported/lumpy cams 1800cc 16v running twin webber carbs, uprated short ratio gearbox/quaife lsd/uprated clutch, Audi TT steering rack, bilstein b12 shocks/eibach springs/uprated adjustable camber/castor top mounts + eibach anti roll bars, front/rear strut bracing, fully polybushed, uprated hubs/discs/calipers/pads, milltek 4 into 1 stainless manifold and exhaust, standalone engine management and fuelling mods including fuel pumps/braided lines/larger injectors + loads more little things.

Most fun car to drive ever (perhaps my Alfa 75 2.0l turbo was close) and with 192bhp at 7500rpm (8200 redline) and only 940kg could embarrass just about any modern hot hatch but you had to really drive it, no driver aids on a 36yr old car to help you out but show it a twisty country road or a short track race circuit and everything about it made complete sense, apart from the fuel consumption of 13mpg ;), carbs aren’t really the most efficient way of injecting fuel but by god they sound good at full throttle.

I now drive this POS (as little as possible), I die a little inside every time I look at it never mind drive it.

Thanks. My retirement toy. I couldn’t afford a muscle car in the late 60’s/early 70’s. This one checks all the boxes for me.
Just watch out, those rear tires can get costly. ;)
