Show us your cables behind the rig

You operating without the system entirely in the meantime? Or are we looking at a photo op? Or just have alternatives to listen to?
I'm away at work during the day, only in the evening do I have time to make a cable or two, then route them in the Rack. The pictures I take are in real time, that is, this is how the cables look now. Until I finish this whole project, I'll be listening in the car all day and at home to whatever comes to mind, good thing I have alternatives and don't depend on the audio system in the home theater.

OMG, but what can you do? Mine looks about the same.
If my father was alive he'd be screaming at me "your gonna burn the friekin house down"

Why not use a dedicated PDU?
Where can you locate something like that?
I don't remember ever seeing one, at least in US outlet styles and I'm fairly well acquainted with home remodeling stores.

I live in Germany and I got them here after a simple google search.

They have an aluminum casing, shielded, one is single phase with protections and one is three phase.

If only old rental apartments in Germany were equipped with 400V/16A CEE wall sockets in the living room I'd long be using one of those.
In case of the apartment I am renting all wall sockets (except for the stove) plus ceiling lights use the same single 16A circuit breaker. Oh well...on the plus side I don't even have to pretend to worry about load distribution.

Nobody forces you to use three-phase in the living room, for this reason in the first picture you can also see a PDU with 18 single-phase outlets.
I live at home and have a room dedicated to music and movies, for this reason I also made a three-phase TG dedicated to powering the audio/video system.
This is what a single-phase PDU looks like, which saves you from all the extension cords behind the system...

Methinks @Ropeburn is chopping up old cables in his shed, in order to stage a grand comeback against all the new pretenders to the cable throne.

There are many available, maybe not from remodeling stores. I have a few, usually from work when they redid the lab or ordered from sites like Digikey or other distributors, but Amazon has a selection:

Thanks Don, I see a number of them with 12 - 16 outlets that I wasn't aware of ?
Giving it all more thought a user would need to be very aware of the current draw of the attached products. A listed 16 station still only carries a 15A, 125V, 1875W rating.
Maybe good to give elbow room to a bunch of wall-warts or smaller low current components but a stack of high power A/B power amps. LOL

Many Euro homes have a larger variety of voltage and current levels available than normally seen in the US.
Three phase is nearly never available to homes unless special gear is requested or purchased.

Yah you have to be careful not to exceed the outlet's capability. On a bench they provide a convenient place to plug in a bunch of relatively low-power equipment; at home, all the low-level stuff can go on them, but my power amps plug into (dedicated 20-A, now) wall outlets. That said, somewhere around here I have a heavy-duty one the tech at work gave me, and neither of us realized until I got it home and tried to plug it in that it had a 30 A plug. Ooops.

Exactly, to a single-phase PDU with 18 outlets, usually devices with low current consumption are connected, anyway the PDU is protected with 16A automatic fuses, I mean those in the EU. Since I have 50A available three-phase at home, I decided to go with one phase on the power amplifiers, one phase on the subwoofers and one phase on the processors.

I just need to muster the enthusiasm:

We may have a tie, maybe even first place. Mines on page 2. Things work great, no issues other than when I need to change a bad cable, especially a long term one where it takes 20 minutes to fish it out carefully so you don't pull out a different cable and hunt that down next. Perhaps a 6 month to a year issue.

Looks great from the front. Click link below.
