Should I buy a DAC?

Greetings everybody,

I just bought my first speakers and amp (DBR62 + Fosi V3) and I need to say, I love it.

Now I'm coming to my question, I do have M2 Air with me rn and it sounds decent (I googled some and they say Apple revised the DAC at M2's and later so it makes a difference and as a plus, it doesn't use that much power so less noise compared to a desktop is normal I guess?) but I have ALC1220 on my main system and they say it nearly average but it differs with GPU load.

I do have SMSL SU-1 on my mind but I bought the whole system for a 400 Euros and now I don't wanna give another 70 euros to a DAC.
Do you think I should buy a DAC? or Do you have another alternatives which is cheaper?

You can find the best data which I can find about ALC1220 at attachments and here is the SMSL SU-1 review by Amir SMSL SU-1 Stereo DAC Review

Thank you.

No, but I do think you should buy a UMIK-1/Micbooster EM258 and SoundSource.

Room correction will give you a much bigger improvement than external DACs ever could.

The SU-1 is about as cheap as well performing external DACs get.

Thank you very much for your knowledge. As I know SoundSource is not on Windows but I can look for a good EQ alternative. What Micbooster does? I don't have any way to buy UMIK-1 in my country, I got alternatives, do you know which one would be better?

Behringer ECM8000
AUDIX TM1 PLUS
AUDIX TM1

and Do you know a guide link?

Thank you again.

Ah you're on Windows, that makes things easier.

Equalizer APO is all you need on there.

What Micbooster does?
It's a measurement microphone and cheaper alternative to the UMIK-1. For details, see here:

Try searching for Moving Microphone Method on YouTube.
