Serious Question: How can DAC's have a SOUND SIGNATURE if they measure as transparent? Are that many confused?

That's their problem. If they don't see it on their own it's not my duty to enlighten them. Especially not in a degrading or belittling way. Not my job or anybody else for that matter. I believe they should be allowed happiness even though their concepts are greatly flawed. No harm comes of it. No harmful drugs involved. Look away.

That may well be 'their problem' but if they come to ASR for advice/opinions that's what they are going to get.
It's fine if you don't want to tell/educate friends that have a certain belief.
I just do the 'uh-huh' thing unless they ask for my opinion.

Those opinions are harmful as the nonsense they post is read and very likely taken seriously by others.
I don't care if audiophiles and audiophools buy whatever (snake-oil) they want. That does not make them the experts which most believe they are.

We like to expose BS here, in case you hadn't noticed. We are a value and science-based community. It's the worst sort of projection for people to come to this site, assert something, without evidence, that is untrue or at least scientifically uninvestigated, and knowingly provocative, then accuse ASR of 'ruining it for them'.

Yes, Police. Enforcing the Law of the land and protecting people from snake oil. It's OK, not a problem. You should do that but just be a little nicer about it.

So, we share the same goal, to improve audio. However, I am a little more flexible when it comes to subjective listening options. For that I'm chastised. I always listen closely to Amirs opinion but I also listen to completely subjective opinions from other reviewers as well. Unthinkable!

Why am I here? I was asked a day ago insinuating my intentions were evil. Lots of suggested terms of infidelity. A traitor was loose in the forum! You don't belong. He's not one of us!! Like a Monty Python skit.

The main reason I'm here is because ASR is hands down the best science based technical reviews available on the internet. Amir does an incredible service for the audio crowd. I wouldn't buy a product without looking here first.

2) being surprised when this assertion is criticized and dismissed.

3) Doubling down with pedantry and rationalization, provoking more testy reactions.

4) Telling everyone they are closed-minded and mean and ruining the hobby for other people.

So they can display their time-out/ban as a badge of honor at their subjective friendly sites they normally post? I do go to some other sites, and now and then someone pops up to say just that: how they came here to tell us how wrong we are, got banned, and that proves how mean, closed-minded, and wrong that we are. We could make money selling "I got banned by ASR!" t-shirts...
