I am a newbie and want to get my first "proper" over ears. My budget is 100€ and I came down to the Sennheiser HD560S (outlet) or Phillips x2hr. Both would cost 99€. Important for me that I can use the headphone for some years without it breaking.
So two questions:
1. Wich one would you chose and why?
2. To use them a long time, are there known issues on these headphones?

If you like a neutral/flat sound then sennheiser hd560 will suffice with decent build quality, if you prefer more bass response at that sort of price I’d get AKG 371 though, they fold up small and build quality is also good but bass response is much better.

Comparison here on rtings , you can choose other headphones for comparison if you like.

560 is definitely better made but it's not folding so should be more robust. Mind you, if you look after it the 371 will likely last well, build is certainly ok.i have both, my 371 is two years old and is fine.

Do you have the means to eq? If you do I'd lean towards the 560, it eqs to haman oe well.

Yea I would plan using an EQ, I also think the hd560s with it's pads etc would fit me better I think I will get them thanks!
