These are £245 right now on Amazon UK, which is a steal IMO.

I wonder how my ancient ancestor HD265s would compare?

I do hope listeners don't whack the volume up high, as their ears will suffer eventually (believe me, I KNOW!!!) and in any case, you can't physically FEEL the bass via 'phones :D

Sometimes when I listen to cans through the headphone jack on my amp I turn the speakers off but leave the subwoofers on

From a regular consumer standpoint I'd definitely pick the equally priced Audeze Maxwell over this but this is still a good product!
Why would you do that. It is like 3x more cost than Sennheiser HD620S. I am saying that because. A person would easily burn through at-least 3 Maxwell's in time he burns through a single HD620S. Sennheiser headphones just last forever. Seriously. That aspect alone makes them a better a buy.

Sennheisers are built great and last. But Maxwell has features that the HD620S just doesn’t offer. That said, what makes you say that? Have there been issues with Audezes?

Yes multiple Mobius and even 1 Maxwell which just failed in less than 2-3Yrs time. And were sadly not covered in the warranty as were not driver related failure.

How do these headphones compare to the Massdrop x Beyerdynamics dt 177x Go headphones? I have a smaller head so would that mean i might not have such a problem with clamping force? And finally, i wear glasses, will this kill the sound quality of these headphones? They are thin band glasses, not super thick, but have a small gap between head and frame.

The HD620S has more lower treble (clarity) and less bass:

Even thin glasses will kill bass below 100Hz:

You have three choices for good subbass response with glasses:

-IEMs
-Open-backed headphones
-Bluetooth headphones with active bass compensation/feedback, e.g. Airpods Max

It's been a year since I bought these. The headphones are still great. I think the clamping force isn't really that bad, and I don't wear them for hours anyway. Lately the glue from the headband is starting to come off on one side. But nothing else sounds this good -- great sound isolation and works well with a variety of genres. I'm getting into violin concertos right now, not easy listening for me but I'm enjoying the treble.

Better keep listening to music so I don't get distracted! I think I can glue the headband at some point if it gets too separated.

Picked up a pair of these recently for closed back music production duties, I'm still getting used to the sound signature. I have the HD-490's for open back duties and wish these had the fitting measurements on the arm band like the 490's do. The fitment is definitely feels like it changes each time I put them on, but maybe I'll get used to them. Sound is solid so far. I swapped to these from DT-770 PRO 250ohm, nice not to have to use sonarworks on them constantly (due to the treble spike).

got my 620's yesterday and was initially underwhelmed by them.
i have no idea whether headphone drivers "break-in" or whether its my brain ( or both) but after around an hour i found myself enjoying them an awful lot more.
no problems with fitment for me, luckily, as i know others have reported this.
they even seal well on my glasses.
clamp force not much of an issue for me either, had them on for over 4 hours last night with no problems.
really liking the isolation.
at £199 i cannot complain, will be keeping them.

I think you need to chill a bit..why spam?
Especially since Rtings investigation showed that measuring THD after EQ isn't actually all that important...

If anything, measuring THD across multiple SPL settings is relevant, but not whether or not you're applying EQ.

i have tried tuning these as per Oratory1990 curve for ADI-2 and cant get the adjustment curve to look anything like the one posted on the site.
where am i going wrong?
