Does anyone own a pair of Sennheiser HD 480? Picked a used pair up for cheap, as I’m always interested in trying older Sennheiser. The sound is pretty much all mids, but I wondered if that’s how they should sound, or if it’s my pair?
There aren’t pads as such, just a cloth covering over the driver. You can remove these, and underneath, it looks as though an inner material over the driver is failing and turning into dust. So, are is the outside cloth cover original? Will the falling inner material over the driver affect the sound?
