I was auditioning TX few days ago (with slightly modified crossover - 2 instead of 3 notch filters )... and i must admit, was heavily impressed.

Cant remember when was the last time, i really just couldn't stop listening, just because on each track i discovered new interesting details.

But what was really impressing was, that those details were integrated perfectly and part of the whole picture and not just random interesting sounds popping out of nowhere (like on some new sonos faber sonetto, that i auditioned lastly).

A few things standed out - low bass is just marked, and without a sub this speaker is a kind of compromise (and i am not a bass-lover). In this case, i will say its for good, because they didn't sacrifice midbass performance juts to get you more sub 45hz. Details in the midbass are level up even in comparison with my genelecs 8351B.

layering is another thing that they do especially well. I think mostly because of the 1order filter and the very good handling of dynamic nuances.

The heights tend to be a bit sharp on some recordings, but are in generally very rich without getting aggressive. And they are definitely not "airy" in audiophile sense - meaning oversaturated low level details form 6khz up. Brass bands, trumpets, violin, high notes on piano ... all sounded very pleasing

Soundstage is also very good, but I can't wait to put them together with the genelecs to can judge more.

Those first impressions was form a treated room, speakers ware way in to the room ... at least 1m behind them to the wall. But they were in a row with other speakers sitting next to them ... so, not ideal for soundstage. On the other hand, i listened from around 2m, so almost like a monitor.

They ware feedet with tidal/roon → resolution audio cantata 2 dac over USB → balanced output → purifi eigentakt power amp
