I love my Definitive Technology Demand 17’s! My room is close in dimensions and it works great in here. It is a sealed design so I added a subwoofer for extra bass, but since you have Magnepan’s you probably have one already. There are only a few reviews out there but all are stellar, search them out. My wife isn’t an audiophile but she loves listening to them with me for hours on end. They can play very loud and very low without losing dynamics. Very detailed, neutral and dynamic. They are left and right paired, and I flopped them around and preferred that sound. Adorama has them for under a thousand. https://www.adorama.com/dedemand17bk.html
I feel like the placement of your Magnepan LRS is not ideal. They are spaced way too far apart. The result is expected to be very diffuse or "laid back" sounding.
I understand the rationale because you are trying to widen the sweet spot for the room, but the fact of the matter is that the LRS have a very narrow sweet spot.
Now it may not be ideal for your lifestyle or needs for the room, but I would suggest bringing the speakers closer together toward the center of the room/your listening position.
