I bought my TV mount from them and they were very good to deal with, as the first model they recommended did not in fact fit my TV and they worked with me on what was the appropriate one, accepting the return with no problems. A suggestion they had, when I talked to them before joining this forum, was very much like what has recently been brought up. Working within the space upon which the TV is mounted, place a bluesound pulse + sound bar. That would be a first step of a complete blue sound system. I wasn’t ready to buy into that or any other sound bar system. I have since looked into other options, based on the helpful suggestions of some forum members including yourself. I guess I have come full circle in that respect. I read one particularly negative comment about the bluesound on this forum, granted it was within criticism of soundbars such as Sonos in general. One thing, in relation to my last post, is that I am not a fan of the pulse stand. Angling a soundbar downwards as was just suggested would make the pulse + a bit precarious. I also looked into other bluesound products as part of considering different options. Bluetooth was mentioned in a latest post. I‘m a newbie, so I first posted here, and, from all I read, problems with connectivity with these wireless systems are common, even with the latest aptX. So, what do you think?

Bluesound Powernode Edge and a pair of KEF Q150. Has HDMI-ARC input to connect TV. Speakers are small enough to go on shelf to both sides of TV if 12" vertical clearance (or maybe they'd fit horizontally.)

Bluesound makes a physical remote if you want, but TV remote should control its volume. Local music files, Internet radio and online music services can be controlled via phone or tablet, or continue using these via the TV.

Crutchfield has it all. Way within budget.

I had no problems so far with BT connections to my smartphone or table at all (with the JBL Charge 3, an AKG K371bt and a Boss BT speaker).

Today I came by a shop specialising in Highend AV, so I went in and told the sales man about the situation "of a friend" and my proposed solution using Blutooth. He did not recommend it due to time lag of the BT audio connection. He then showed me a new wireless transmitter which uses a new protocol (WISA? WIFA? Cannot remember) without time lag and the corresponding speakers, but when I mentioned that the speakers must be true wireless (no mains cable) he passed.

However, I've never noticed a time lag when watching videos on my smartphone or tablet with sound coming from any of my BT devices but maybe you better try before you buy.

I have four Bluesound devices in three rooms, and a Pulse Mini that my wife uses. I started with BS in 2017 when they were a better option than Sonos. Everything works but they don't update UI very often and ignore customers asking them to do so. If you start with them your costs to add rooms is high compared to WiiM who are constantly upgrading the system capabilities at fraction of the cost. My advice and hope others chime in yea or nae, focus on the sound for video entertainment with a few components like a very good soundbar wired to the TV from ? and wireless sub from SVS, RSL, Elac or other rated and tested brand, and go from there. The room is attractive and you have stated you don't want wire allover.
Reviews on https://www.rtings.com/soundbar may help with the decision. Don't let all the data and advice paralyze you as any well measuring system that fits your aesthetic will be a welcome upgrade.

Really no stigma associated with a quality 3.1 sound bar. Several good ones available with wireless sub for around $500. That space right below the TV looks like it was made for it.

I’m glad the conversation has turned more to wireless solutions. Problems with latency and dropping out seems to be endemic throughout all major products such as Sonos and Bluesound. Thank you for inquiring about wireless with a high end shop. My head is spinning from researching WiFi, Bluetooth, and now WiSA and WiiM. I admit that it is even more true in my case than Ygritte’s ”You know nothing Jon Snow.” But am I right in understanding that WiSA has solved the problems with latency and dropouts? Such a solution would make my task easier. The soundsend product was criticized some but what has got my attention now, and what I’d like your opinion on, is Enclave Audio’s Cinehub. On their website as well as Crutchfield, you can find a a product called Enclave Cinehome Pro 5.1. What are your impressions of that system and its technology?

My pleasure.

Just remember that it's the latter who survived... ;)
