That might be underestimated, but we do have a lot of Genelec speakers lying around in homes and public places. People usually want to have some kind of sound reproduction system and when the customer has budget (and willingness to spend) above soundbars and BT-speakers, but don't really want to get into hifi as a hobby, they often go with Genelecs as they are easy to set up, they are good enough and it so happens that the design fits many homes (high WAF). So, the default option if you just want to be done with it, to the point it being a cliché.
...it doesn't hurt that the local mags reviewing speakers tend to always recommend them highly and they also get green light from most hard core local subjectivists who would otherwise sneer at active speakers.

The UK was full of 'cottage manufacturers' and to us, a large factory is a couple of thrown-up units in an industrial estate!
To just make speakers, that factory is a delight I feel and what a setting too...

For a French person, the expression "super factory" in no way means that it is of immense size, it means firstly that the working conditions, the quality of the products that come out of it are manufactured by competent workers, equipped with modern tools...The UK was full of 'cottage manufacturers' and to us, a large factory is a couple of thrown-up units in an industrial estate!
To just make speakers, that factory is a delight I feel and what a setting too...
And when we watch this little advertising film, we say to ourselves that this is the case with this one, installed in a magnificent setting...A super factory...
I'd rather watch a video of a small factory producing super speakers than an enormous factory producing $hitty ones
