SEAS KingRo4y MK3 Kit

Any updates on this build.?
Hey!

I have not had time to finish the stands, but I am going to build them oak squares that matches the speakers footprint and can house my vinyls.

The speakers have been playing for a month+ now and they are exceptional. I have built several speaker kits previously and I have also owned a great number of commercial speakers.

These are truly phenomenal and very versatile - Everything I have thrown at them has been played back effortlessly and very transparently.

I am very pleased with them and I truly recommend them over anything I have listened to in its price range.

Wtf that's bullshit. Where were those black drivers when I built mine? o_O

Buy new ones and sell the ones you have on eBay or similar.

Mine wasn’t stocked so they took 2-3 months to get produced and the shipped.

These guys seem to stock them for a reasonable price if you are in the EU:

I just seen that Madisound does have the black cone option now.

Done!

What: Seas KINGRO4Y
Drivers: C18EN002/A och L26RO4Y2
Material: Black MDF
Amps: Hypex FA503
Finish: Rubio Monocoat Plus 2C Black

They sound promising
I had no idea the woofer also came in black. It looks buch better than the silver version IMHO.

Yes, you are correct, I misspoke.
Wolf: I have not been on the PE forum much in the past year or more. What is your favorite latest and greatest DIY effort? I bought some SEAS 5.5" ceramics three years ago, 8 ohm version, and at some point have to get around to building a small monitor with them.

PETT has kind of slowed to a crawl. I'm at MAC and DIYaudio more than PETT these days.
The below may or may not not be posted at PETT.

Of late, Pangolins is the most recent, a 10" 2way. Currently working on Hancocks, SIG180-4/AMTHR-4. Before that were Monoculus, Anomalies, and Drottnar.

All of them have a quality the others don't possess, and that makes each one great on their own. The Monoculus, however, slices and dices the music before serving it.

Thanks for asking...

Yes, PE board has lost some mojo with the passing of some key contributors and others who seemed to drop off due to life's other priorities. Glad so see you keep your near-maniacal DIY pace up!

MAC is where some of the former PETT posters migrated. It feels a lot like PE used to, but does not have as many on-topic related restrictions. You can link retailers, whereas you can't link competitors on PE, or even link similar competitor products to what PE sells because this cuts their bottom line in their backyard. PE still has the usual beginner questions that seem to get repeated often, but it seems the down and dirty details get relegated more to DIYaudio or MAC.
It feels like the discussions at MAC, supportive in nature, help the process of a developing design. It also helps others see the process unfold from more experienced builders.

As for my "near-maniacal pace", this is really my only hobby. It involves so many different skills or processes. Wood working, paint, soldering, circuit layout, critical measurement methods, listening, CAD for drawing as well as xover modeling, finishing skills, as well as best acoustic practices.

I think I've strayed this thread for long enough, now back to the Seas mindset....

A unique number in hexadecimal for a electronic stuff like ethernet adapters.

Does anyone have an idea of positions for two passive radiators? Only thing I can find is to extend the height by 50cm. Are they located at the sides or front-and-back?
