Here's a Seas speaker driver manufacturer factory tour from Norwegian magazine stereopluss. Perhaps interesting to some here.

They show in quite some detail how the speaker drivers are manufactured, and also show the anechoic chamber they (and also we and many others) use. :)

The video is in Norwegian but with English subtitles.

Very cool thanks.

I seem to be attracted to loudspeakers that use the SEAS magnesium drivers I own Joseph speakers for two channel listening and Hales Transcendence speakers for my surround system, both of which use the SEAS magnesium drivers. I like the way they look and how they sound. For whatever reason there seems to be a distinctive clarity and purity to the sound.

Those magnesium drivers are superb - but the price over the years has gone up to a place where they are not worth the cost IMO. I guess this is just reality of made in Norway and a time intensive process that can not be avoided. OTOH the Prestige series like ER18 or L series are still good value. It would be nice to see Seas do some ceramic cones and domes like SB (I think they are ceramic coated / deposited ali).
