Searching for IEM recommendation coming from Audio Technica ATH A900X Headphones

Hi,

so i read here every once in a while when i am researching my next purchase for audio equipment.
for the last decades i always preferred small Monitor Loudspeakers over Headphones (Currently sitting in front of Yamaha HS5)
and rather pick "big" Headphones like the AudioTechnica ATH A900X when the Loudspeakers are not present.
But due to recent needs i am looking into IEMs.
Since from a quick glance there are a lot of brands i dont know of nor have any listening experience i wonder if the lovely hivemind this forum is has purchasing advice?

I do not mix much anymore so i mostly listen to movies and movies while occasionally game a little.
i did not like the few times i listen to "peripheral brands" like Logitech Razor etc" so i would like something more close to the Headphones / Speakers mentioned above.

Any tips or advice?

If it fits your ears well (good bass reponse) and is comfortable to wear, then you can honestly stop right there.

IEMs don't get meaningfully better than that in terms of sound quality.

If it doesn't fit well, try different aftermarket ear tips and if those don't help either, or you already know that ear tips are not the issue, then you'll just have to try a few different models until you've found one which fits your concha and ear canal nicely.

That part we sadly can't help you with. It's just trial and error.
