I'm guessing a large part of your problem is coming from resonance of the unit it is stood on. It's basically a big sound box - like an acoustic guitar body.

Assuming you have no space for it elsewhere, I'd be tempted to stand the units on small blocks, and put the sub underneath directly on the floor.

If you can see the lamp on the left side thats where it was on the first measurements...firing sideways on the wall.

update:

2 layers of 3mm recycled rubber sheet and 2 layers of epdm underneath made things better. Still some resonance on the unit but i think the bass is clearer.

As per chatgpt the next good thing to add is sorbothane but a neoprene sheet will also help...I will cut an old diving suit and put a layer underneath.
