Fine amp, but way overpriced and with the origin of the amp and today's politics a no go for me. Not that i need that kind of amp. But on technical level no remarks.
There's also the Elac EA101EQ-G. Dad has one of those. I can't say much about it, other than its display sucks arse and its 2x80W are enough for him but not for me. Otherwise it's certainly one of the amplifiers of all times.I believe Halcro amps from 20 years ago (or so) were Class AB with switching power supplies.
Topping B100 / B200 and Benchmark AHB2 use switching PSUs ))think this is the first class AB with switching power supply that I have seen.
I test what is offered to me and judge it based on its merit. You really want me to overlay my politics on what I test and how I judge it?So now things from Puntin's Russia are being tested and praised.![]()
The heart of this amplifier is technology from US. So they decided to "support" us before asking us to support them.If you want to support Russia's war machine, buy Russian. Otherwise, don't.
I'd definitely use the tall feet for better cooling, specially with the heatsinks locked inside the case.Lower feet are provided if you like less of an elevated setup (yes, the lights can be turned off).
Nope, just measure it and let the dice roll, let the buyer make up his own mind.I test what is offered to me and judge it based on its merit. You really want me to overlay my politics on what I test and how I judge it?
You do as you wish. I was just stating the facts with my post.I test what is offered to me and judge it based on its merit. You really want me to overlay my politics on what I test and how I judge it?

This amp is mainly intended for Russian people, many of whom are visitors of ASR. And I recently tested products from Ukraine (MAG).
I suggest any other political comments like this be kept out of the thread.
No you weren't. Stop here. You do as you wish. I was just stating the facts with my post.
Okay, I won't say anything more about it.No you weren't. Stop here.
The standard feet that elevate the amp higher than most improve air circulation and heat convection since it appears that the bottom of the enclosure is perforated in a somewhat similar way as its top. So I would not recommend using the smaller feet as they would likely limit convection cooling and cause the amp to heat up more during operation. Thanks @amirm

They did not choose more common design of keeping heatsink on the sides exposed outside for better cooling, probably to just make it look cleaner for expense of more heat building up inside causing top to get the heat.
the top plate seems to have vents from the pic, I might be wrong though.

I think that taking into account the huge prices for the western-made high-end there, it's actually not that difficult for him to make a good business domestically. Therefore, he can set the price so high for something that probably has $150-250 BOM costPoor value - good stuff.
Yes there are no taxes, but war-related sanctions probably affect the price. Pretty impressed everytime I see entrepreneurship from Russia, knowing the very special industrial ''ecosystem'' in place over there, gotta be pretty motivated and found of what you do to create a company like that. After navigating their website, couldn't resist the pleasure to share the picture of such a strong character.
