Yeah, it's a better product overall and also for less money. (although no coax input)Almost identical performance to Atom DAC+ except for the weaker filter.

If you ask, JDS will put weights inside the Atom DAC or Amp when you orderI know what I would choose between a flimsy plastic box and this tough, weak filter or not.
Not made, assembled. Most likely the PCB is made in Far East.Made in USA for 129$ I don't know how they managed to do this.
"Designed and Built in TexasNot made, assembled. Most likely the PCB is made in Far East.
Why say assembly then?"Designed and Built in Texas
By “designed and built in Texas" this is what we mean: the vast majority of the total production cost of Modi+—chassis, boards, transformers, assembly, etc—goes to US companies manufacturing in the US. Our chassis are made from Texas steel in California (yeah, we know, weird), and the PCBs are done in Nevada and Utah. Who needs global trade when you have statal trade? (Just kidding, of course…it is still a global economy. But you get the picture.)"
Paul McGowan has left the chat.Wait, people actually care about DSD?
I am Canadian and do not know the requirement to get a made in USA tag. In Canada what they describe count as made in Canada. Sometimes it's just not worth the hassle to have to justify what percentage of this and that. Don't know, it doesn't matter that much to me, just responding to your "Most likely the PCB..." With the actual info on their website. Built, designed, assembled, made, it's just tags. Obviously not all the parts are american made.
This is simply not OK in terms of science or not accurate enough as you don't see all their production, you see only what they want you to see. Nevertheless it's nice to see them performing better than before.Great to see Schiit continue the (new) tradition of optimizing objective performance
How could you possibly evaluate the entire production of any manufacturer? If so none of these reviews here are ok in "term of science". What do you mean exactly? They post measurment reports, they send samples, what more do you need?nce or not accurate enough as you don't see all their production, you see only what they want you to see.
No it is notNot made, assembled. Most likely the PCB is made in Far East.
I think you imply what you want to imply, the last Schiit product reviewed, the Freya+, was unrecommended both subjectively and objectively. His comment simply implies all their production is heading towards better performance, this is simply false or not accurate enough as ASR sees only what they send-in, in this particular case only a small fraction of their products range.
Built, designed, assembled, made, it's just tags.
sorry. Put a note in there indicating the first graph is Coax. The second one is Toslink.Text dont match image info - both pics says "Toslink"...
