Thank you for your reply. I own the MOTU M2 and I use it primarily for my microphone for gaming and discord. My main question is will I benefit from greater soundstage and a little bit more warmth in upgrading my L30II to say a Midgard without also having to buy the Modius. I apologize that Amir's test don't help me as they should as I am a laymen when it comes to the technicality of his test charts. Still learning. :)

DACs have nothing to do with soundstage. Soundstage comes from the source material and then your headphones or speakers.

According to Amir's review, you should be ok with the MOTU you already have.

Thank you, Brian. I appreciate you taking the time to answer my questions.

Oh, I got this email from Schiit today:

Hi,

I have a FiiO K9 AKM, that has a THX AAA 788+, and a Ibasso DC Elite coming. I was considering getting rid of the K9, buying a Schiit Midgard and use the DC Elite as a desktop DAC with the Midgard when I want to.

My question is if I'll get any improvement in sound quality just changing de amps, all else being equal.

Thanks!

Edit: spelling

No you don't get an improvement in sound unless you're driving very hard to drive headphones such as Hifiman Susvara where the extra power from Midgard is needed

Has anyone tried pairing the Midgard with the ModHouse Tungstens? Would love to hear your impressions of how it went.
