Okay assuming I'm kind of a dumbo with all this, are these numbers indications that it's a good upgrade? Since it looked like previously the DAC was really not worth having even though the amplifier was good.

Returned it for the scratchy noise, I thought they were gonna repair it easily (and they might) but got refunded instead (£330 + 100, dac card was paid separately).
So I just bought a perfect condition slightly used, £459 Fiio K9 Pro (AKM).
Hope that'll be final for a long time.

I’ve owned both. I’d keep the Atom. If you’re wanting a fancier box on your desk, I’d go for the Element.

7-1-23 Have loved my Asgard 3. Upgraded to Jotenheim2 but it was only an incremental improvement which was disappointing. Put the Asgard 3 up for sale on head-fi.org classifieds.
