Samsung's Galaxy Buds 3 Pro were quite fun.

yes, bla bla, stop crying and throw your Buds3 in the trash - my God - what a drama, mine work well, I can change the tips without any problem and I'm happy - are they worth €249? I don't think so, they're just mainstream TWS.
I hope you listened to music with them without ANC - with ANC they sound terrible

How good or bad are the spatial audio and the head tracking in them?

I just tested it quickly, with normal stereo music the head movement is recognized in the same way as with my Meta Quest 3 VR glasses, but I haven't tested it further yet
(when listening to the stereo music - it stays in one place like two speakers and when you turn your head you turn away from the speakers)

I haven't tried native spatial audio yet, I don't know where I can test it, I haven't looked into it

I also think that the imaging and stage is sometimes very holographic, I can only assume that the Samsung DSP may use a bit of crossfeed - but that's just a guess

Projecting again. You must be the center of the universe, your eartips didn't break so everyone else is the problem. Samsung recalls them but it's every single users fault. Grow up kiddo, you're not as stoic as you think you are. Just because you got them doesn't mean you have to defend your purchase beyond all reason, and trust me, you don't have any reasoning left.

You can always tell when someone is arguing in bad faith because they ignore points like: samsung should offer refunds if they are admitting QC is poor.

The spatial audio is ok, head tracking is laggy so it's only good if you stay still and put your phone on a stand (sound comes from the direction of the phone). Tidal is removing all 360 audio soon so if that's your main app I wouldn't bother

been on the phone with them for an hour now. they keep passing me from person to person. Their live chat yesterday they don't do replacements, but It would need to be a return/reorder with no guarantee of the price being the same. I'd have to wait for my return to be processed, wait for them to return my trade in device, and then replace the order. Now on the phone they're telling me there may have been a replacement option but because the first guy started the return, they have no way of cancelling it and I need to go through this process to return them and no guarantee of price matching."

Can't you stand that I'm happy about it?

the Bud3 does not support Sony 360 in Tidal, so no spatial audio format in Tidal

So you assume I'm not using a Samsung phone from the last 4 generations, for no reason. Not even newer, SSC is on the S20. It's the same codec they use on the buds 2 pro you should know that.

My reply was in response to the question asked above. I'm not your enemy here, dude.

Someone asked if it should work for everyone, Samsung says it doesn't.
Your experience also showed it didn't.

But I dislike disinformation so I need to point out that Samsung does not say it will work on the S20.
From their website:
"Audio quality up to 24bit/96kHz’ is available on Galaxy S24 series, S23 series ,Z Fold6 , Z Flip6, Z Fold5, Z Flip5 and Tab S9 series with One UI 6.1.1 or above.
Additional devices may be supported in the future."

That's from the Canadian website, could be different elsewhere.

And I frankly don't care what phone you use. No one here does. It's a phone. Weird how someone might not know it doesn't work on the S20, eh?

Stopping shipments is good, but what about returns for the thousands of people with a broken product. Did you stop to think about that?
No, I didn't think about it.
But the last time I had a problem with a Samsung device, they did pay for shipping.
It was a proper nightmare that I was still hearing about more than a year later, but they did pay for shipping and fixes.

Time will tell what they do here; Seems they might do things right.
As for the biggest idiot in this thread blaming the victims, you don't defend a company that openly admitted they made a mistake and states they have QC issues. Someone's not an idiot because the cheap oval eartip made of fragile plastic breaks within 3 changes, somehow every other company manages to not have this issue. Your logic is hateful, and you're projecting.
Is this aimed at me? I'm the only person you quoted but it doesn't seem like it's aimed at me.

Regardless of who it's aimed at, I'd invite you to re-consider claiming anyone's logic here is hateful. And if you're going to keep calling someone's logic hateful, I'd suggest contrasting their writing against your own.

Best regards

Edit: I will say I wrote this before reading much further I to the thread. Let be nice to eachother, folks.

I am the idiot he is talking about

but I can understand him, he is dissatisfied and is looking for support - basically he just needs to break his Buds3 and open a warranty case - that would be easier than a long discussion with Samsung and then the support has to replace them

They seem to measure fairly well according to the measurements I've seen online, so I don't think it's unreasonable for someone to think they sound good. People that like things sometimes want to share.
The intention of my writing was this.
I don't know why the thread is so aggressive.

Can we dial back the agression and sniping please or I will be issuing thread bans. Thanks.
If this is overheating a bit more, please ban or stop the this thread.
already see so good results with the measurements, and there are some who are satisfied with this, and there are some who are not satisfied with it.
But the weirdest thing is that they claim I'm a marketer for Samsung, and they accuse my subjectivity of being dishonest. This is the most ridiculous thing I've seen since coming to ASR.;;;;;
Please keep an eye on this thread because there are already many people who make primary criticisms with subjectivity and emotion rather than objectivity.

I've been using some 3 yr old wireless JBL ear buds I got from a free promotion. It's time to upgrade to go with S24Ultra. I made up my mind to purchase these for the next 3 yr use.

You peeps and those Buds3Pro buds... sigh* As mentioned earlier I have the Buds2Pro. I bought them when I signed for a new cel tel plan and a Samsung Galaxy S23 so I ground down the sales guy for the phones/ear buds for 209 Canadian dollars. That's a great deal. mine work very well other than sometimes it doesn't handshake well and needs a reset of the connection and worst case scenario I just reboot the phone and it works after.

Aregina from South Korea has tested 11 different Buds3 Pro units to hopefully shed some light on the QC discussion:
(English subs are provided)

Update: UI 6.1.1 is out, 96 khz still doesn't work, Samsung is deleting comments off their help forum about it. If you click any of the posts they have vanished within 4 hours of being posted

I must recant my previous comment about the Buds2Pro being good. I have sent them in for service 2x now. The warranty is 3 months over. Samsung says no warranty and $300 for new ones. Samsung claims the small charger case and the earbuds both have issues. sigh*

For those who don't realise, you have to put your phone is developer mode to access higher codes. Depends on the phone

I didn't have to. SSC 24/96 is available only on the latest 2 gen of samsung flagships (if I remember correctly)

works for me too, in the advanced properties for sound quality and effects you can activate UHQ, but that doesn't save these TWS either, compared to my IEM collection they are the weakest,I have a Samsung S23 (not an Ultra) with the latest firmware

I actually like them.
The fact that they dynamically correctly their eq based on the fit is super nice. I noticed while working out the fit was going lose over time and to compensate this the level of bass was automatically raised.
The integration and the switch between all the other Samsung devices is flawless . Battery life more good than enough.
Trhe audio is good enough and not fatiguing, certainly not hifi. But if you're looking for a good hifi experience you should not look at TWS, or more in general at anything that uses bluetooth. (And imo not even anything in this price segment at all)
