Samsung has launched a new tws, Galaxy Buds 3 Pro.
I went to a Samsung store near my house and listened to it and it was quite interesting.
Below are the images provided by Samsung.

It is said that a Planar tweeter was used.

It was quoted by a reviewer's site called 0db in Korea.
It's pretty outstanding.

I had a bad condition in my ear today, so instead of CIEM VIENTO, I had a Planar iem MP145 from Hidizs.
And I broke all my prejudices against tws.
I was listening to the two products, and I tried to exclude them under the assumption that tone balance is neutralized and personalized (ton balance is possible with a small amount of EQ), and I tried to find out if there was a problem with the device itself, and there was no problem.

The basic tone balance was good, of course. I haven't heard any of the bands that are in trouble, and I think that would be very good news for those who don't know how to EQ or enjoy it. (Of course, it's better if you do EQ. Base is so good for applying personalized EQ and Impulse.)

Personally, I think saying that there is no problem is like receiving the 1st acceptance letter in IEM.

Not only that, but it also felt good to wear.
The basic ear tips seem to be easy, and the Buds3 pro fit is very good to see as I keep thinking of the feeling of being comfortably secured to my ears on the way home after finishing listening in the store.
Personally, it felt more comfortable than AirPods pro.

And both the active noise cancellation and ambient sound listening functions of the device itself worked well naturally.

Also, the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro supports head tracking with 360 audio, and this wasn't quite bad either.
Like Apple, the 360-audio and head tracking on the Buds3 pro is much less reproducible and detailed than the personalized HRIR/BRIR, but I still think there's been a lot of improvement. (My proper long experience with TWS stayed a few years ago.)
Even if you move your head forward, back, side, and up, it follows well, and when you look down the floor, you get a sound image on the back, but I don't think there will be a problem because you don't really look down at the floor.

I've been thinking there's no reason to buy additional IEMs at the moment, including CIEM, but I was quite tempted to buy them.
It's about 319,000 won in Korean won.

Do you think Buds 3 Pro should be bought?
If you're an Android user, you can buy it.
I try to watch without prejudice when listening to and evaluating IEM and headphones.
And without bias against TWS, buds3 would be a pretty good option.

Stem design :\ ill probably stick with my buds2 pro. But who knows.... will try them at some point definitely.

But the price bump is not welcomed.

You know. Matketing has to do marketing stuff :)
All we need is one big brand to turn Nyquist into a "feature".

"Our new headphones use the groundbreaking Nyquist algorithm for perfect, analog sound at all sample rates". "Completely eliminates stair stepping!" they could write.

Ours: smooth and continuous, just like analog sound!

Theirs (according to their own marketing): Stair steps, unnatural sound. Requires power hungry upsampling to mitigate.

Then whenever some other brand tries the old stairstep trick to sell sample rate, customers would go "But brand XYZ uses Nyquist. Why don't you?"

If they say "but we do!", people would go "but their Nyquist removes steps altogether. Why doesn't yours do that?" (pointing at the brand's own marketing material)

Hmmm Chord is kinda that? ;)

I have the S23 Ultra. I'm going to switch from Buds 2 to this, I hope it satisfies.

What matter is to provide a better codec than sbc and aac. Aac is actually fine, but the bitrate used in Bluetooth is too low.
How idiotic is it then that many brands insist on wasting the limited bitrate of Bluetooth audio by transmitting ultrasonic noise, resulting in worse quality where we can actually hear things

It's your choice, but you won't regret it if you choose buds3 pro. :)
I write various IEMs of different depth of insertion, from etymotic to extremely low Hidizs mp145 of thd and Viento CIEM of Hidition, and compare them to that experience, bud3 pro is pretty good.

LDAC's 990kbps is actually enough to play at least 99% 44/16 FLACs without any compression loss, if it was sensibly designed.

I find LDAC the only BT codec that makes me don’t missing the wired connection.

The problem is it only works at maximum quality at home, my girlfriend has Sony (WhatTheFuck M4 or something like that, never remember such names) and can force her phone to stay at maximum resolution but going outside with plenty of BTs devices around and it exhaust bandwidth so often.

arrived today, sound pleasant, music is fun with them - I don't want to compare them with other IEMs yet
