Hi, I'm a student who's doing my Master for Speaker measurement research. I had 1 problems that I face for distortion. I have 2 set of television that I used to measure distortion. Both have same speaker, both are same board, same brand, same everything. But when I try measuring distortion using REW. Both results are different. Why is that?

Hi @Aurora_Starlight! Welcome to ASR.

Some possible reasons are unit variation, DSP or a loose rattling wire.

As always, try to eliminate variables.

Perhaps try to remove the speaker modules and measure them individually, outside of the TV chassis, and with a known good DAC and Amp.

Inter-unit variation is a factor when it comes to loudspeakers also. Depending on how tight the manufacturing tolerances are, the two speakers really could have measurably different distortion.

Also, as you probably know, measuring distortion in REW is difficult because the measurement is affected by background noise and reflected sound.
