So the last post on this thread is now 4 years old and Salk is no longer in business. It appears that Jim never came back with a full report on his analysis of why Amir's measurements of these speakers didn't match what he published?
I feel as if in today's speaker making world, you must have an anechoic chamber or a NFS to design your speakers. Quasi anechoic, ground plane and other methods appears too cumbersome, time consuming and inaccurate to withstand the amount of scrutiny that's going on today. Very good for consumers, but a whole new landscape for speaker companies.
