Sabaj D5 - Owners' Thread

Something so simple that sometimes we just forget it exists.
Any chance this unit was plugged on the 220V while set to 110V?
No sadly its was 220 v when i unboxed d5 the fuse was blown form the start. IDK how blown fuse came out from the factory

Well i am happy with it. the D5 just replaced my AD18. Firmware is 1.4 on this unit.
Using the XMOS drivers from the M500 works perfectly.
Using 2 mono blocks i made with UcD250LP's on the XLR out's, sound way better then the AD18 :p
Speakers i am using are the Yamaha NS-B330's
I Like the weight and size of this d5, would like to have firmware 1.6 with the 90 volume steps :p
Bought off Amazon.de from the EU warehouse, sold by Hifibooster
Witch i think is Sabaj's seller name on amazon since i got the link from their website.

Good morning all,

I just noticed there was new Firmware 1.7 but no notes or explanation.

Is there anyway to switch inputs and not get a garbled sound when playing music . I have the D5 connected to a Mac mini but if I go from say usb to coax from another source ( Bluesound) I have to turn off the D5 and back on again to get it to work properly.

are you on the latest firmware? I don't have that issue

Did someone update to the last firmware? What are the modifications? Thanks

I am a d5 user from Japan. Please excuse my poor English.
I would like to update the firmware, and I found a store that still sells the update tool.
But where can I get the firmware itself?
Right now, the support page only seems to have xmos drivers and manuals.

I did not mean to send the above message to specific person.
If anyone knows where to obtain the firmware, we would appreciate it if you could let us know.

I am sorry if it is rude or inappropriate to you, since I use the online translation site.

Peterwen represents Sabaj here, if he can’t answer then probably no one can.

I still have a copy of the 1.6 (rev2)
You can go back to post #227 and see how Malis did to upgrade his firmware.

I also have a copy of the 1.7 version that was on Sabaj Official website but the content is too big to be shared here with the .exe inside.

I'll attach the .hex and .pdf in the v1.7 zip file so you can download the JLink V512e from the Segger's official website.
The steps to upgrade to v1.7 were a bit different from those used on the v1.6.
You can use the Malis video for reference but the instructions on the v1.7 PDF are very clear to follow.
Regarding the J-Link software, you MUST use the V5.12e for this.

If you have any doubt, let me know.

Thank you very much. It is really helpful.
The notes on the J-Link software version, etc. are also very helpful.
I will report here when I have the purchased update tool in hand and have successfully updated D5.

Can you please share the site of the store, cause they are verf difficult to find nowadays.
