Sabaj A30a announced

Thanks for your help
Sabaj fix the sub problem?
No, it hasn't been resolved. Sabaj make good products, but when it comes to updating the firmware, they are not there. I would say to boycott this company, but at the same time I have two Sabaj amps and am satisfied. If I had to do it again, I would buy the A30a again. Regarding the sub, no there is no correction. My speakers are Focal Chora 826 which has 2 6.5" woofers, the f3 is high at 48hz. Before I adjusted the sub output to 70hz, and now I put 80hz which is even better with the 826. On the other hand if your speakers have 8", and an f3 of 32-40hz, the sub output of the A30a will not be ideal because it is limited to 70hz.

My speakers are kef ls50 meta, I don't have sub yet, but need to by one....

Sabaj fix the sub problem?
For me the main limitation is the lowest cutoff (70 Hz) that can be limiting for a floorstandin speaker but is appropriate for a bookshelf one. In my setup I'm not sure a detect a lack of colinearity between the volume of the speakers an that of the sub.

The Kef LS50 Meta have an f6 at 47hz, so at f3 it is higher in frequency. With the A30a you should adjust it to a cutoff of at least 70-80hz.

since sabaj has abandoned updates,
is there something like this similar in size power and features that does not have silly crossover limitations or volume issues for the sub?

If you want an amp with a subwoofer output, this is the best you're going to get. The Audiophonics DA-S250NC has a pre out which you could use for a subwoofer, assuming your subwoofer has its own LFE crossover and volume adjustment - but then you'd still be getting full range out of the main speakers.

Personally I haven't had any volume issues with the sub. You can adjust it, so even if the subwoofer volume curve isn't linear that's only an inconvenience if you listen at very different volumes.

What about topping pa7 plus? Same price
That only has analogue inputs. For something equivalent to the Sabaj, you’d want there to be a full set of digital inputs.

SMSL have some neat all-in-one units, but the audio quality, power, and configurability won’t be the same.

I guess you can connect your Bluesound 2i it to the Topping PA7 Plus Amplifier through the analog RCA Stereo output, however in this scenario you are using the Bluesound is the bottleneck since you are using its internal DAC which is quite poor. To exploit the great performances of the Topping PA7 Plus you have to buy also a good external DAC.
If you get the Sabaj you can connect the Bluesound using either the Coaxial RCA or TOSLINK digital optical outputs.

I have gustard x16 dac also, so maybe topping will be better than a30a
Then I guess it's up to you to choose between the Topping or the Sabaj. I'm sure either way you will be happy with your amp. Just give us your feedback after you get it.

What is actually the differences between a30a and toping pa7? Any power difference, or better clas d....

PA7 is an integrated speaker amplifier.
A30a is digital amplifier, a "dac/speaker amp" combo in a way. The DSP way, not enough IMHO, but there are DSP.

PA7/Plus has been measured on ASR and came out to be an excellent product.
A30a hasn’t been measured, yet!

I was interested in A30a, waited for measurements but finally ordered PA7 at the end.

A30a could replace 3 boxes in my setup, but no measurements anywhere yet.

You order the plus version?
No, PA7 -the none plus version.
I think PA7 is better value for money than PA7 plus, and Topping had said something similar in some post as well.
I found a “used - like new” on Amazon for 314$ (339$ including taxes and shipping).
Normally these come as sealed pack box like new, got E50 DAC similarly.

Luckily Thomas says you can remove part of the “digital glare” by adding an external DAC. So the extra DA conversion (external DAC) and AD conversion (internal ADC) creates a digital signal that produces less “digital glare”.
Somebody should to explain Thomas how this amp works.
I laughed hard. Thanks
