Hi all
This is a question lifted from another thread, I would like to confirm the answer before buying anything :)

Question:
My motherboard has a S/PDIF header, and I am considering getting something like this to connect my PC to a DAC via toslink optical. Are there any caveats with this method I should be aware of; are the outputs going to be particularly jittery, for example.

Thanks in advance
Simon

I wouldn't worry about it. Jitter should be of no concern, and the optical connection prevents any other kinds of noise.
