RSL Speedwoofer not playing even though power is on?

I recently purchased a RSL Speedwoofer 10e which is powered by WiiM Amp.

When I first played the setup the bass was heavy, I then did RoomFit (room correction) which significantly reduced the bass however now it barely plays at all.

How should I adjust the settings so I can get some output from the sub? it is currently set to 80hz. The only way to get any output is to turn on sub bypass mode so it isn't processed by crossfader.

I don't want to turn off the room correction because it sounds better now, there is just not bass.

Its currently at 0, I set it to 15 and there was improvement however it was still a bit soft. I am guessing my ears might just be overly used to a lot of bass prior to the room correction

At 0 it sounds really nice and balanced I just guess I would have expected more sub output because it seems like it isn't getting low enough for the sub to be in use. Makes me wonder why I needed a sub in the first place.

I dunno quite what the Wiim does, but you say it sounds better even with no bass. Which seems odd to me. Call me old fashioned, but I doubt the Wiim's room correction would impress me compared with a long-winded manual setup for the subs....

I don't know what main speakers you are using, but one way or another, the objective is to get subs and mains smoothly blended so there are no boomy peaks or suckouts in the overall frequency response.

I think 80Hz as a crossover point for subs is quite high, unless you have tiny main speakers.

I'd set the Wiim to highest sub-out volume and highest cut-off frequency, then on the sub, adjust the cutoff and volume manually. You can easily obtain bass test tones to play, stepped or swept, that make it easier to tell if you have a flat response. Also try loads of test records.

Turn off / unplug your mains and listen to see if things are working right.

The sub should not be calling attention to itself, it should just be filling in the lowest frequencies. The difference between sub on and sub off should not be more bass and less bass, it should be lower bass vs. limited bass. Extension vs. volume. Hope that makes sense.

Think about it like this... if you had a big floorstanding speaker that went down to 20hz, would you want to be able to hear the woofer by itself, or should it all sound like one clean speaker? That's ideally how the sub should work also.

You shouldn't have to set you physical sub knob pass half way and +15db gain on sub level is extremely high. If someone listening can point out where your subwoofer is or if you can hear mechanical noises or physical vibration than your subwoofer is way too hot and likely not integrated.

Also WiiM subwoofer sync is syncing for arrival time. That should be adequate but depending on your room and speaker/sub layout that may just be a good starting point.

Hi, it's normal you'll feel that the bass is reduced after running RoomFit room correction due to it probably cut away most of the peaks in bass frequency after EQ is done.
Is the volume(gain) knob(top right first knob) on your 10e sub amp already at maximum or nearly maximum? If not the "quick n easy way" to do is to increase the volume 1 click at a time n listen to your favorite song, movie, etc at your normal listening level, repeat adjustment until u "feel" it sounds right. Bass IMO is more a preference rather than reference. Hope this helps.
