Rotel RSP-1576mkii Software Update Issues

I recently purchased a Rotel preamp RSP-1576mkii from Ebay and after setting it up everything was working fine. However, a few days later after upgraded to the latest firmware, V3.08, the issues started. First, it would make a popping sound from the speakers when I turned on/off the unit. Then after about 3 days, I heard a loud popping sound and it quit. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks

I’m afraid I think you bought a lemon I don’t think the firmware had anything to do with it. I would try and get your money back from the eBay seller in the first instance.

ROTEL seem to have got out of the AVR/AVP business all the models were removed from their website sometime ago.
