Hi all! My parents had a hi-fi system with B&W speakers so I always wanted a pair. The CM10s came up on my local classifieds the other day and after demoing them I took them home knowing that 1) I had just begun an expensive journey and 2) I was in over my head.
I've been reading that Rotel is a good pairing for B&W so I am looking at getting an RB-1080 but didn't know if there was a better option in that price range ($650-800). The room is about 12x25 and has vaulted ceilings. Listening distance will be about 8ft. For a preamp/streamer I was just going to start with a Wiim Pro Plus and upgrade later. I only listen digitally currently so Apple Music or Plex is my only source.
I guess my main question is whether 200wpc is required or if I could get away with less power. I don't plan on listening at loud levels.
