Roon chaper alternative for Qobuz streaming applying EQ

I agree with "bit perfect is over as soon as DSP starts" including volume adjustment only as on Wiim.

I am not saying that matters.

If you already have the required PC etc hardware I agree LMS is wonderful and the cheapest option.
Wiim is lot easier for non-techies, and just a once-off purchase

Bit-perfect means no alteration to the bit-stream. Applying any EQ curve to the signal WILL INEVITABLY ALTER IT, hence the signal is no longer bit-perfect.
It has nothing to do with maintaining bit-depth and/or sample-rate. Room correction is, as well, not bit-perfect, as it alters the signal to better fit your room.
As alredy pointed out: you never want to use "bit-perfect" and "apply EQ" in the same sentence...
I see from roon from my dac that the bit-rate was changed when change trackes even if I applied Oprah eq option for my headphones. That is that I was talking about and want to find out if there is any app that use this way

That is not what "bit perfect" means.

It's just showing you the bitrate at the device input **before** any DSP effects. If the DSP is totally destroying the content, it can still be in reality at that same high bitrate, just not the same bits anymore.

Decent DSPs do not destroy the content if properly applied. So

I believe ALL the Tidal / Qobuz compatible "apps" do what you are asking for.

The main point is, your #2 and #3 conditions are not at issue, your real question is "what Tidal / Qobuz compatible apps (for X platform) are as good as Roon wrt EQ" ?

Do you mean playing from your PC? Those are likely a different set of choices than playing using your phone. Which OS?

You can play from your PC, and just control from your phone...

I recommend LMS / Lyrion + Plugins

Hi I am the developer of the SqueezeDSP plugin for LMS, my goal has been to create a simple to use and install DSP plugin that does what most people want.

There is a group of users on the Lyrion forums who have been keeping me busy with feature requests, so I have been adding some quality of life features lately, like downloading headphone filters directly from AutoEQ github repository, replay-gain in the plugin, fir impulse copying through the web interface, all processing is at 64bit float. It runs on most devices. Next stop is to try and eliminating any remaining transcoding issues as occasionally other plugins knock out the SqueezeDSP settings.

If you have any questions feel free to ask.

Hi hope you don't mind but I'm a huge fan of LMS, and just getting into DSP

Figured this deserves its own thread!
