Hello all,

Recently I used for a while Roon and I listen my music through my PC and/or mobile.

I like so much that Roon offers the option to have bit-perfect and at the same time apply through Oprah EQ options for my HD600.

But now my trial option with Roon is going to expire, so I would like to ask if there any Free maybe (guess not) or more cheap option that can offer the same capabilities as Roon:

1. Qobuz / Tidal integration
2. Bit-Perferct option
3. EQ apply without missing Bit-perfect option

Thank you all

Without sounding nitpicky, the moment you apply EQ it's no longer bit-perfect.

The only software Roon alternative that offers Tidal/Qobuz integration is Audirvana. But it's as bad as Roon in that it's subscription software. Maybe even worse in that there is no option to purchase a lifetime license.

You could use JRiver with DLNA and BubbleUPNP (Android) or m-Connect (Android, iOS). The interface is rather clunky, but it works.

Another option, the cheapest and most reliable of all, is to get a Wiim.

USB Audio Player Pro for Android offers that functionality.

A WiiM Mini/WiiM Pro would also work.
I would like to have an Windows app option, as for Android I use HIBI App which is good enough, thanks for the info!

Ass I check applying an EQ for my headphones with Roon I still got bit-rate change based on the track, so I think it is bit-perfect apllying eq.

IS Audirava offer these options as Roon with better prices? I would check it out

Seems a bit complicated option so as to move on, but I will check it

Does it offer these options? Thanks

For absolutely free, you can do all that with LMS, LyrionMusicServer, formerly LogitechMediaServer, using the Qubuz and/or Tidal plugins.
For your DSP needs, you could either use the easy to install and set-up SqueezeDSP plugin, or install the more complex to set-up cross-platform CamillaDSP software.
Dive right in and enjoy knpowledgeable, responsive developers and users, learn abbout so many other helpful and unique community plugins, all at your fingertips.

For me, there is only one piece of software that has what it takes to replace Roon, and that is Music Assistant.
Thanks for the info, I haven't heard about that product before, Have implement it? Have you found any tutorial especially as far ass the DSP options?
Thanks

I have no issue if is not absolutely free, but I find Roon too expensive for what it offers.

I will check. If there is any tutorial how to install and make it work would be helpful, as it seems far away from a plug and paly somehow option.

Thanks for the info

Can you dial up a track on Tidal on an Android/iOS tablet and get LMS to play it?
I use Qobuz rather than Tidal, but LMS does provide a plug-in for Tidal support. Similar to Roon, browsing and playing streaming content is performed within the plug-in rather than the native (Qobuz/Tidal) app. Searches automatically aggregate local and streaming content, making it easy to intersperse sources if desired.

The features of LMS are very similar to Roon - I run both. Both are responsive and provide in-built equalization. Both Roon and LMS support convolution filters. Roon is more polished, but LMS is quite attractive and snappy via its Material skin. Squeeze DSP supports loudness correction, still missing on Roon.

Sure you can!
Local and streaming libraries are fully integrated like with Roon, and it doesn't end with just Qobuz and Tidal!
There's no native Qobuz or Tidal connect app from where you start playback, but you've got the Qobuz and Tidal, and etc. plugins to do that.
You can control from or play through all WIN, MAC, LINUX, Android, IOS OS's via browsers or control/endpoint apps - see here for an overview.
I'd definitively recommend to use the Material skin plugin rather than the dated classic interface for a nice, modern interface.

Bit-perfect means no alteration to the bit-stream. Applying any EQ curve to the signal WILL INEVITABLY ALTER IT, hence the signal is no longer bit-perfect.
It has nothing to do with maintaining bit-depth and/or sample-rate. Room correction is, as well, not bit-perfect, as it alters the signal to better fit your room.
As alredy pointed out: you never want to use "bit-perfect" and "apply EQ" in the same sentence...

Hmm... I'm developing one and would be just $5 a month or permanent price option, but the issue is that I don't even know if it would be commercialized and It'll take at least half a year to make it perfect and commercialized for windows/mac apps.
As my app is alpha test now and not stabilized, and only three weeks after it started.

I like my WiiM Ultras.
