Hi guys,

From reading this forum the room correction capabilities of a receiver are highly regarded. That said, im curious what the options are for a lower end receiver. For example - the denon s750h has basic audyssey room eq.

However, i see in the various reviews that its possible to manually measure and adjust eq for corrections.

So if i were to purchase something like the denon s750h and 4xjbl a130 bookshelf speakers, and a centre channel - are there options other than the basic denon multieq for room correcting?

I'll run most of my home theatre from my 4k firestick, but can i purchase a mic and do a high quality room correction myself with my pc or something?

I was wondering if it could be cheaper for me than spending alot more money on something like a denon x3700h to get multi eq32. And id like to be able to learn to understand the process and how to manually do things like amirm does.

The manual graphic EQ is too crude to be an improvement over the Audyssey MultEQ. It is only this:
1. Select the speaker.
2. Select the adjustment frequency band. 63 Hz / 125 Hz / 250 Hz / 500 Hz / 1 kHz / 2 kHz / 4 kHz / 8 kHz / 16 kHz
3. Adjust the level. –20.0 dB – +6.0 dB (Default : 0.0 dB)
