I'm glad I found this review, I picked up this very Rolls unit a couple of years ago for $10, used it once to check my thrift store record player was working (which it did, and it sounded pretty good) and I haven't used it since...I don't think I will in future after reading this article. Probably going to spring for the Loxjie Amp that has a Phono stage as well since I want to get better sound and speakers for my home setup.
