Wilson Benesch, Epsilon audio: Blue And Sentimental by Michel Legrand. https://shz.am/t10854088

See the LP picture above.

Wow. Excellent clarity and separation. Great demo track. Indeed it sounds great on my tinny laptop speakers.

Please allow me a minute to add that to my Roon library.....

Amazing quality given the 1958 recording. Reel to Reel decks were so good even then.

Thrax, Weiss Engineering: Flight Of The Cosmic Hippo by Bela Fleck And The Flecktones. https://shz.am/t10242659

Ah, Bela Fleck. This brings back memories. When we developed the WMA codec, we had to make rounds at record labels to get it sanctioned on quality. And one of Bela Fleck's albums including this track was such a test from Warner music I think.

Not bad.

Can't find this track but here is another track from the same group:

Boomy vocals. And did I hear a crackle at peak dynamic???

Stuff audiophiles do. This gentleman crawled around the floor for a while to find the best seat. Then sat next to us and then back on the floor. Not sure how the floor would sound better but I was not going to try to find out lest someone else tried to take a picture of me doing the same! :D

Verity audio speakers:
Beethoven : Symphony No.9 in D minor Op.125, 'Choral' : IV Presto - Allegro assai - 'Ode to Joy

This played, played and played. Then it played some more. I finally turned around and asked for something different. Only to be rebuffed by folks behind me saying they could listen to it all day!

It sounded bright and pretty diffused by this may be my grumpy side talking. :)

Had lunch at this food truck.

Quiz: can anyone point out an audio related item in this image?
