No conformal coating on those resistors? What happens when corrosion seeps into those metal end caps?

Nice touch. for sure. Two ninety-five from Tube Depot. For fifty-five large, you're obviously not paying for the faceted light cover. :)

I read that it's a ruby. Not sure if it's a real red ruby but I still like it. Not a weird blue LED floating in space that one cannot focus on. Just a nice glowing red ruby. :D

Probably. For the money it's probably a jewel. The thing about these sorts of creations is not so much what they do, but what they are. I liken this type of product to 'custom' shop guitars. Actually, not even those, but rather hand-made luthier instruments. I mean, if money is no object, why buy a Gibson ESD-1275 when you can get Rex Bogue to make you something a little... well, a little more unique? Or at least you could, were Rex still alive.
