What is the difference between the 2/4 Pro EX and the Pro EX? I understand that me asking that probably means that it is something I don't need, to which I would agree. I was looking at it for having AES/EBU for my monitors. I'm just curious between these 2 models, is it a matter of connections? (If anyone can share a thought on it)

I was also wondering if anyone know what the limitations to the amount of PEQ bands available is on devices. It's not a deciding factor on a purchase for me but I am just wondering if stuff like that is a hardware limitation, on the new one still being 5+2 I mean. Is 10 band way more demanding? Or are there reasons to stick to 5+2. Just curious.

2/4 Pro EX isnt officially released yet so we cant be sure, but since the regular pro EX added trigger out which only the 2/4 SE had at the time, i imagine they are more similar to each other this time (unless the 2/4 receives completely new features)

they deliberately stick to 5+2 in order to retain high sample rate, latency performance and allow all the other dsp features at the same time i believe

And, they kind of have it double, because you can EQ left and right separately.
