This is the same "lifestyle" demo that I saw at CEDIA. I am a fan of the colorful speakers although not sure who would buy them in such bright colors.

Speakers retail for $14,000. Total system price: $20,000.

And a classic: My Home Is In The Delta by Muddy Waters. http://shz.am/t10040834

Playback software was Roon. They use "crystal cable" from dutch company. He said they use high silver content which I guess explains why they can get away with such thin speaker cables.

I'm not sure how to take that:

One step larger in AWG is about a 126% difference in conductivity, smaller would be 79%.

I am not either :). I am just giving the answer they gave. I think the cables are thin because they cost a fortune if they are made out of silver so they have no choice but to make them thin. Whether that is enough in the lengths they are using, is something we need to compute.

I ran mine with 24AWG at some point in the dim past, out of curiosity.

But with a "maximum amps for power transmission" of 0.577 amperes, I didn't want to press my luck on creating a short by melting the insulation. 2AWG has a 94 Ampere rating.

I had 18AWG more recently, like an AntiCable clone. Compared to the 2AWG the 18AWG seemed to have a little measurable rolloff up high, but my impedance dips there. Could have been measurement error, too, being less skilled at that time. I measured that rolloff, but not the relative overall level/loss difference, though it wasn't enough to be memorable since I don't remember it..
